Mother Kombucha is seeking a full-time Beverage Filler Line Manger and Mechanic. This position plays a vital role in the quality of our finished product and requires someone who is detail-oriented, able to multi-task and has production line machine and mechanic experience. Pay rate is based on experience and time needed to train to proficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Clean and sanitize bottle-filler.

-Set up bottling line for production.

-Operate and monitor bottle-filler and label machine.

-Watching for jams and effectively threading wrap to prevent downtime due to errors.

- Adjust filler timing and filling, & check mat as needed

- Communicate effectively with packaging team before, during and after production runs.

-Maintenance on bottle-filler and label machine

- Line and equipment general repairs and servicing (with support from outside contractors)

- Troubleshoot and resolve operating difficulties

- Collect required samples needed for Quality Assurance testing

- Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.

- Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency and quality of the production.

- Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.

- Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality.

- Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format, and completed with required information.

- Perform filler and filler line changeovers in a safe and efficient manner.

- Monitor fill level, seals, caps, lot number, expiration date and general packaging of product.

- Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately

- Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.

- Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.

Requirements:

Strong mechanical skills/work in a mechanical heavy position.

Experience on production machinery required, food and beverage strongly preferred.

Extremely detail oriented - this position is key to assuring the quality of our product.

Strong mechanical and problem solving skills.

Good communicator with desire to work cooperatively with the entire team.

Strong understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand on feet for 8+ hours a day, twist/turn/reach over head and work in standing/walking/crouch positions and on a ladder all at a steady pace.

Must be punctual, excellent with time management and available for 5am start time

Compensation:

$23-$26/hr (based on experience and time needed to train to proficiency)
